The 90-minute documentary RENEWAL captures the vitality of this growing religious-environmental movement by focusing on the ecological initiatives designed to help build a greener future. Evangelicals stand against the devastation of mountaintop removal in Appalachia. The New Jersey interfaith organization GreenFaith helps houses of worship take the first steps to “go green.” An innovative camp / education program helps Jewish kids discover the deep bond between their spiritual tradition and the earth. Muslims in Chicago support the sustainable, organic raising of chickens and cows.
